Spent a few hours trying to come up with some cool idea and my mind was still blank, so I just started messing around and this is what I got. I kinda like it and it inspired me to portray the alien-scape as a place of feeling, rather than reality. For now, it's still just about as refined as this first concept, but things will clear up...I promise ;)

Some more abstact letting-the-mind-wander exercises. I didn;t chnage much but I switched to vertical framing and tweaked the color scheme a bit. Some of these concepts might make nice background fillers when the scene goes 3d...
