Some time ago I began modelling a little character based on Norwegian folklore.
Whenever I get the chance, I add a little more to him.

I recently completed the body modelling.
So, here he is. Untextured and unrigged, but standing on his own 2 feet.

I have drafted a story about this little chap and have begun writing the screenplay. The plan is to market it for television.

Feel free to make constructive comments. Hope you like him.

i really like the style and cleanliness of the model, what type of texture do you want to slap on him?

He's a creature from and of the mountain forests, so I'm thinking of keeping the colour palette to simple browns, greens and greys. His skin will be somewhere between wood and rock with a bit of warm pink around the nose and ears.

He will be clad in mossy greens and treebark browns.

I'll post updates as they happen...

I find the first image just hilarious; great design and modelling; can't wait for a textured version

good job puttypdro :)
You've really naild the feeling of this guy.
any plans on making his big, hairy, and totally mindblown brother? :)

oh, I'm not very fond of his feet btw, they're a bit too thick imo.

Again; great job and start texturing :)

Edit: another thing, his thumbs are too short ;)

Thanks for the positive feedback!

It's always good to get to get responses from people who are new to the character. Working on a vertex level it's so difficult to step back and really try to see the complete model with 'fresh eyes'.

I agree there's something a bit off with the thumb and have done a bit of geometry adjustment:

I'm curious about the foot comment. Can you be a little more specific?

He will have hair, but not too much. He's about 40cm tall. I envisage him being quite agile in his movement, not unlike Tarzan in the Disney adaptation. Totally comfortable in the great Norwegian outdoors...

Hey, I like the look of him.

I've seen some of your work on Norwegian TV, and actually had the cartoon fish (from TVNorge) as a background for a while.

Keep up the good work!
