I'm looking to get a new video card because my current one is getting old, what sort of video card has support for specular maps and all the other stuff we see in games these days, but off course i posted here because i want to know which one is great for 3d.

I'm a 3dsmax user and i dont really have alot of money so i dont really want to spend much more than $240 (australia) or $160 US, what do you recommend? I'm willing to spend a bit more but i'm not expecting to be able to buy the extreeme very best.

I saw eVGA's GeForce FX 5700 Ultra at Best Buy for $159 (with rebate). That is a total steal as it is faster than the Radeon 9600 XT and both of those cards typically retail for $200-$220.
