OLM Digital R&D (http://www.olm.co.jp/rd/?lang=en) department published on their OLM Open Tools (http://www.olm.co.jp/opentools/olmlogin.php?lang=en) site an update of OLM Smoother (http://www.olm.co.jp/rd/technology/tools/?lang=en#post-233), a MLAA (MorphoLogical Anti-Aliasing) (http://www.iryoku.com/mlaa/) plug-in for After Effects, Photoshop (CS6 versions) and now NUKE too. The main application at OLM Digital in cell animation but you can use in many context as a cheap way to get Anti-Aliasing back from edgy stuff (like after cutting some masks, or some any aliased rendering).
You can use it in production, it's free as free beer. You just need to register with an email address.

Thanks for this, OLM Smoother is really useful for many applications. I use it to enlarge line art and textures, it works amazingly well.

really useful tool! thanks
just two things:
crashes Photoshop with 16bit images
and doesn't remember settings inside a session (smoothing parameter)

another thing would be - and this would be really cool - to expose the parameters to the ActionDescriptor (also to run without dialog). this would be very useful for all of the people who could write actions/scripts to extract aliased data out of objectID images with one click.

Thank you very much for your feedback.

As for the crash for 16bits images, I would check it out straight away. the code should be basically the same as after effects plug-in that is handling 8-16-32 bits depth...

As for the settings between session, I ll check the SDK to see how to implement such feature. We may make it available in future releases.

The action descriptor support is also definitely something we should look into for future releases.

thanks to your feedback, I found the bug for the 16 bits processing in the plug-in. I guess we will post the updated version on the website soon.
