*kssht* Breaker Breaker. What's your twenty? Problems with Max 5. Please advise. *kssht*
I'm working on a project that involves characters in Max 5 (unfortunately max is the only good option for output to director/shockwave...even though none of the people working on the project use max for character work). We're trying to set up UV's for the character in one map low-poly-game-character style. We're having a horrible time with it, though. We used a uvwmap modifier then a uvw-unwrap modifier to get the UV's layed out correctly for the body. However, we still have to do the UV's for the head and the boots, which are separate elements but still parts of the same "object" in max. However, the only thing we get when we try to add any other parts of the object to the UV set is just the points (no real polys..just a pile of points) on the uv editor window. Is it something to do with material ID (which we don't understand)? How can we set up UV's for the other parts of the mesh?
