View Full Version : mrViewer v1.9.3
This is mainly a bug fix release to address accessing files in international and remote directories using drag and drop, mostly a problem on windows.
For those that do not know mrViewer, it is an open source video player and flipbook, that reads about 50 popular formats.
You can obtain the latest mrViewer from:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/mrviewer/files/
And the source code with git doing:
git clone git://git.code.sf.net/p/mrviewer/code mrviewer-code
For some movies of what it can do, you can check youtube:

Thanks for the updates. Maybe you should just keep one thread and bump it when your release an update. That would be easier to keep track of what you do on the software, and if problems or questions have been already asked.
I have a problem though, saving a reel always crashes for me, on windows 7 64 bits.
Thanks.

I could reproduce the problem when saving to a directory that is in Unicode (International Characters). I have a fix for it, but needs more work before release.
For the time being, save your reels in a directory without accents or special characters.
Updated mrViewer to support saving reels in Unicode locations which would crash it before. Please give this version a try.
In W7 is fails to execute without throwing any error, I can't open mrviewer.exe at all. In my other WXP it says that msvcr100.dll is missing.

Is this with the x86 version? I found some incorrect DLLs being shipped with it. Unfortunately sourceforge is not accepting new uploads at the moment. As soon as the sourceforge problem is fixed I will update the .zip file.
On the meantime, you can try downloading wer.dll and mpr.dll for x86 from one of the popular DLL pages and installing them in the Release/bin directory of mrViewer.
No. It is 64 bits. Do you know which can be the problem?

No idea. You are the first to report a problem with the 64-bits version. Can you download and run dependency walker (depends.exe) on the mrViewer.exe. That should point the wrong dll causing trouble.
Sorry for the delay..., Can you point me to that depends.exe file?.
Thanks.

http://www.dependencywalker.com/
It says the following:
Error: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in an implicitly dependent module.
Error: Modules with different CPU types were found.
Warning: At least one delay-load dependency module was not found.
IESHIMS.DLL
WER.DLL
It says the following:
Modules with different cpu were found can be a problem. Check the list of DLLs for DLLs that are not 64 bits. Replace the missing DLLs.
IESHIMS.DLL and WER.DLL come with windows but dependency walker sometimes lists them as missing. Check your machine for their presence and if not found, download them from some DLL site.
I finally found the bug that was causing crashes in mrViewer 64-bits for some people. Please upgrade to mrViewer 2.0.0 beta2.
