Here's a test pic with a darktree-shader as shellac material rendered with finalrender, so that works for sure, i don't know about brazil because i don't have it, but i think it'll probably work too.

yeah, darktree and shellac are supported in Brazil

I've not tried but I'm fairly certain you can't.

You can use finalRender's material converter which comes with it to convert a ton of materials such as Mental Ray or Brazil materials to it's own format.

can fr convert mr material?it looks like there is not mentalray option in the convertor window .

The fR-MaterialConverter can't currently convert MentalRay materials. This should be coming soon - I'm working on it.
