Hello,

I'm going to do the Phaunos Tower into a temperate Forest in full cg.

I am working ona full cg shot with softimage and nuke.

hey, your sculpting for the rocks is looking quite nice... what was the approach?

Great details & scale overall, how did you model your sections of stone and rock; displacement maps ?

hello,

Yes for the rock and the stone i use a displacement map that i've create in photoshop from a picture of rock.
For the render i use a low poly mesh of the rock with a displacement, but for apply the grass/tree/props i use an other more detailed mesh.This one is not use for render, and have a displacement in ice. This mesh is very helpfull for populate the surface of the rock (ice and weightmap).

The next week i will upload some render and test of the landscape and the tower.

how do you plan to do the falls? realflow hybrido? or there's something in ice that can do that?
