ello m8ys!

been testing out 1 of my models using c4's qtvr renderer.

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/sjleworthy/qtvr.zip - about 4 megs

you'll have to right-click-save-target-as, open the .mov file in quicktime (windows media player wont do) and use the mouse to pan around in it. you can also zoom in/out.

rendered at 2000x1500 @ 200 dpi, to help the AA, but qtvr saved at 800x600.

i think next time i'll save it at 640x480, that should be smoother for screen updating.

wadda thinks?

the scene itself is very good. you could try to get a more realistic texture of the escalator's stairs. they seem to be flat.

give the photographs of the shops some color adjustment, it looks too photographic...

i've never tried qvtr. maybe i should.

Strat I am sure it looks really cool......I have a 56k modem though :annoyed: ....I must get adsl :) .Here in NZ they charge per meg for download for really fast connections :annoyed:

Did it take long to render Strat?......The reason I ask is because what I want to do on my demo reel is make a still of the image in question, then have a QTVR of the model and then some ani all in the same folder,or possibly video cassette :)

kiwi - this did because i was testing and didnt know the optimal resolution to use.

i rendered this at a very high res, using very high gi settings - about 10 hours rendering.

but keeping the same quality i recon i could cut this down to about 1-2 hours.
