Speed Modelling 20

Welcome to the new speed modelling.
We are a couple of members here now that try to rotate the activities between us, if you got some ideas for items that we model or if you want to post a thread on your own let us know.
Let's just try to stick with weekly activites otherwise with my personal experience in here it is difficult to keep the ball rolling.
There will be a new thread every Saturday from different members.

This weeks theme has a 2hour time limit on each item

Items (2 hours time limit for each of the items)

-joystick
-ant
-tower crane
-hat
-fireplace
-hairdryer

Extra item (3 hours time limit)

-Darth Vader Helmet

joystick , 1 hour.
It's called Attack 3 or something similar, I focused on the mainshapes on this one.

Hi whom!!! Thanks for posting the new SMC - I was on vacation and somehow didn't found time to even start my laptop once.

joystick:
I think you are really doing good by first doing the main shapes. I am always impressed how much it - even in this state - looks like the original.

Sundaynights, yea I just stopped by and thought it's better to keep the ball rolling with these threads so I just made one. Thank you for your comment. :)

i like that you started one on your own, though i suggest a theme, not a few items. so you arent limited to what a person came up with.

Not bad, I recognized that joystick right on the spot. (I have one sitting nearby as I type this.) All it needs is the seam down the middle of the handle and the silkscreened numbers and logos.

Just might need to fix that one edge above the notch in the back of the handle (edge flows can be a pain sometimes - so I understand why that happens), that's the only obvious glaring thing about it.
