View Full Version : Moving wireframes leaves ghosts

Hi All

Just took possession of a spankin' new workstation but I am getting ghosting in the viewport when I move an object in wireframe view. The ghosting disappears when I pan or otherwise move the whole image in the viewport. Very annoying!

Any fixes?

I am using a dual 2.2 Gb Xeon Dell with a Wildcat 6110 running 3ds max 4.2.6 on Windows 2000 SP2.

Thanks

Brent

If you are using OpenGL, turn to DirectX, if you are using directX, turn to OpenGL, if non work, turn to Heidi drivers.
("Customize... -> Preferences ...-> Viewports...-> "Choose Driver")
then restart max.
hope this helps

hey, I have an older version Wildcat myself, a 4110 and I've had the same problem since max 2.5. I think it's the drivers. The pan trick always clears it up and it's annoying as hell but I've just learned to live with it. If you do find a fix, I'd sure as hell love to hear it. Changing modes never seemed to help me out tho... Good luck :)

I am tracking the issue with 3dlabs and currently running in Heidi :annoyed: as I am also getting instability as well...
