Hi everyone
I am building a new machine and want advise on the GPU. after a lot of reading on the net , deciding between the GTX or the quadros i wanted to give the nEW GTX 670 jetstream a try.
the viewport performance of the card in 3dsmax 2011 viewport after updating the drivers from nvidia website was only close to my v5800 card in my older machine.
i was basically deciding between a quadro 2000(quadro 4000 is out of my budget) or any gtx in that price range which should be better than my v5800 or v 5900 that i am already using on different machines.
while trying to play a heavy animation in viewport here is the fps that i got
V5800 2.2
gtx 670 1.7
so here v 5800 performs better. the 2 cards are similar in viewport performance while zooming panning orbiting in the viewport
So i am now confused which card to choose? people have been saying good things about the radeons 7970 etc .
can you guys please help me chose the right card
