Hi_!

This is my first ever face-exercise.

What are those lines around the eye?
What causes those?
How do I prevent them?

Thanks,

yeah Ive gotten thise before, I believe their called a single sided vertex or something similar, on the points stat when your in poly mode, should be called 1 polygons, you can hit the plus hightlight all in your model and delete.

these also I believe will prevent the converting of bones in layout when you have one in your skelegons set up when buiding in modeller.

someone with this experience can reconfirm this.

Go Modeler. Load your object. Press 'w' polygon statistics and select 2 Vertices then delete them.

yeah they 2 or 1 point polygons

having the stats on while modeling will help you see this before they become a problem

As others have said, you have polylines (two point polys).
Usually theyre caused when you bevel or smooth shift without some kind of outset. When you do a point merge you can get them if the points along the new geometry you created are on top of each other or very close to each other depending on the settings in the merge tool.
