hello,

ok thats it, i have had enough.

:wip:
http://www.frednet.uwrf.edu/images/icon-computer.png

i have this PC :

PIII 1.01 GHz
384 MB RAM
ATI Radon 128
ASUS motherboard or main board

every time my scene gets crowded (not that much) it start lagging and sometimes it crashs.

for example, see this tire (http://swee7an.hypermart.net/subaru/rimtest04.jpg) i had 2 of them in my scene with one plane under them + a camera + a skylight with shadow.

i choose the output size 320x240, it took the PC half an hour just to finish half of the photo :surprised .... its pain in the ***

so am planning on buying a dual CPU PC.

is it possible to get a new (or build it myself, i have some experience) PC with a budget of 2000$ or less if possible (don't laugh) ?

and yeah, i wanna use 3D MAX 6 on it

thanks in advance

by the way, i am not expecting any super super preformance, i want good preformance that fits my budget

and what about a Dual Monitor?

i already have a 17" monitor, what about buying another 19" monitor and attach them both to the new PC ?

thanks again :)

With a budget of 2,000 USD...

You'd most likely have to build the system yourself. (If its dual cpu)

Are you using any 3rd party renders? (Vray/Brazil).

Are you looking to build the computer yourself, or buy prebuilt?

Where are you located? (USA, Germany, etc)

Well you could look into a possible Dual Xeon system.

However your budget constraints may only allow for an extremely fast Dual Athlon MP.

Since you may be using 3rd party renderers, the extra bang hyperthreading gives you (via the xeon's) would be extremely useful...
