Snoswell Design is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the digital character work for A Sound of Thunder. This exciting film project will showcase the leading edge of CG character work using our award-winning muscle and skin software technologies -- Absolute Character Tools and CGSkin. This is the project to be involved with if you want to be part of setting a new high end standard for character animation.

We have immediate requirement for 6-8 Technical Directors (highly skilled technical 3D artists) for the next 5-6 months. Two of these positions are in the Santa Monica office and the other 4-6 are in our studio based in Adelaide, Australia. The Santa Monica positions require TD's experienced with 3ds max 6 and Particle Studio. Mental Ray experience is also highly desirable.

The Adelaide positions require TD's with Max 6 character experience. Experience with ACT, CGSkin and Mental Ray is highly desirable but not essential. This is an opportunity to be involved in creation of the most realistic creature and human animation ever done and to use the leading tools for character skinning, muscle and skin deformation and rendering.

Application Instructions

Los Angeles Positions (2) - should contact Steffen Wild (steffen@cirquedigital.com) with the subject "SOT-TD".

A Sound of Thunder
Based on a short story by master of science fiction Ray Bradbury, the sci-fi action adventure A Sound of Thunder is set in the future, when time travel is not only possible ˆ it's a lucrative monopoly. It's especially profitable for Charles Hatton (SIR BEN KINGSLEY), the owner of Time Safari Inc., a travel agency that specializes in escorting wealthy clients on exclusive hunting trips back to the Prehistoric Age.

Under the leadership of seasoned scout Dr. Travis Ryer (EDWARD BURNS), participants are permitted to hunt and kill dinosaurs provided they follow a set of strenuous rules. These guidelines are intended to protect the creatures' natural habitats and prevent time travellers from impacting the course of evolution.

When an expedition is compromised and the rules are broken, the hunters return to the future...and discover the world is a markedly different place than it was when they left. As "time waves" ripple from the Prehistoric past through the present to the uncharted future, Ryer teams up with Sonia Rand (CATHERINE McCORMACK), the inventor of the time travel technology, to unravel the mystery behind the catastrophic historical changes that are threatening to erase humanity from existence.

Warner Bros. Pictures presents the sci-fi action adventure A Sound of Thunder, starring EDWARD BURNS ("Saving Private Ryan", "15 Minutes"), CATHERINE McCORMACK ("Spy Game", "Braveheart") and SIR BEN KINGSLEY ("Sexy Beast", "Schindler's List", "Gandhi").

The film is directed by PETER HYAMS ("Time Cop", "End of Days")
VFX Supervisor, Tim McGovern.
Publishers, Warner Brothers Pictures.
