Hi all,

Just clearing through the editorial backlog here...this one's been sitting on our desk for a while.

Hey, just curious. What's the deal with the RGB lighting pass? Is that so that you can get 3 separate lights rendered in one pass, I guess effectively splitting the different light sources into different channels?

Those shadow guardians were very scary on screen, they really are my favorites.

It is indeed, also gives you a mask for each light to further control the lighting in the comp.

thought I'd point out a typo. On the first page under images you call her "Laura Crop" heh.

Great article:)

Fixed thanks for pointing out. Rush job, typo.

At least someone's reading it closely. :)

This was a very interesting article to read.

What I liked the most is that they talked about the processes they went through to produce the final product and did not spend a whole lot of time talking about how great a company MPC is.

Great article:) Ahhh!!! I sense a deeper conspiracy. It was not just a typo. It was a clever little Freudian slip. Letting us know that Angelina was replaced with computer generated images in the movie.

Laura "Crop" indeed.
