Well, I've finally sat down to finish a sketch. (I should have used the time to work on the contest) I had been working on this concept for a while. I'm glad to see there's much fantasy style art working it's way around the forums.
Here's the story to this character. He is part of an elite infantry unit known as iron hellfire angels. they got the name due to their armour being forged from hellfire. (iron meteorite that's been hammered) that's the reason for the iron "wings". There are some real life hammered iron meteorite (I forgot the proper name) weapons. all novelty of course. I'vve heard that while novelty, the weapons are very sharp and much heavier than that of normal iron. or I could just be making this all up. oh yeah, the sketch:
