I'm about to get a wacom tablet from somebody over the internet. I'd like to try my hand at digital paintings and would like to know what program(s) you use.

I already have photoshop but I know that a lot of people like to use other software for the actualy painting itself. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Another good option for you is using painter! Painter 7.0 is the new version! It's a professional painting software, lot of different brushes, paper...... Try it, it won't let you dissappiont!

go to www.corel.com or procreate (http://www.procreate.com) to see painter. I'm trying to learn it now; but the interface is very different from Photoshop so I am going slowly.
Almost everything on my site was painted in Photoshop, but that's only because i learned in photoshop. PS7 has some pretty cool new brush tools, but nothing like Painter. Good luck-don
