View Full Version : Game Engine
What are the best resources to teach myself the game engine? I know basic stuff but I want to learn it more correctly....
I feel that book is a bit old on blender.org or is it still useful?

Here is a series of rather useful tutorials:

AFAIK a good manual is lacking. You may also want to visit the BGE section on BlenderArtists.
Awesome appreciate it, thanks. :)

Check out this blog: http://devlog-martinsh.blogspot.co.uk/
Also look at the User Manual: http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Doc:2.6/Manual
(Right at the bottom)
I started out by pulling apart the Yo Frankie game and reading the gamekit manual for Blender 2.49.

teatimebing, appreciate it thanks. :)
I have started with some small motion triggers with moving a cube in a world this far, gonna take some time so yea I better give it time lol....
3rd test with different settings on the motion, in this one I used location and rotation in the motion type settings. Works pretty good when you wanna move an object in the world.... Couldn't solve colliding though, that works better in Servo Control....

Is this book from any official source from Blender? I might order this one when released.
