View Full Version : problem: can't see which verticles I select.

Verticles don't appear as small open boxes that turn white as I select them, but as white closed boxes. This way I can't see which ones I've got selected. The same appears in the skin modifier, and here it's even more annoying.

I've been trying to figure out how to get them back to normal for hours and I'm certain it's not that uncommon... Thanks in advance :)

Sounds like a display driver problem... Maybe choosing another driver solves it. See "Customize -> Preferences -> Viewports -> Choose Driver"

Bedankt! That seemed to be the problem indeed. Somehow the DX8 doesn't work well... and max doesn't even recognise my DX9 :/ but that's another problem, I'll try to figure taht out myself
:wip:

(unless you've got a solution for that too)

I've got an ATi Radeon 9000

Afaik in order to rum max5 with DX9 u should upgrade to some point release like 5.1 or was it 5.2 ..

max 6 has full DX9 support

but i may be totally wrong.. i never work with DX -- it never worked nice for me

Imho OGL is better and MAXtreme is best

I can run in OGL mode, but when I do that ecerything somehow appears more bulky than with dx/software. For example grid lines and wires appear a lot wider.

yes. this is because you have antialiasing enabled. maxtreme's aa is better (and faster).
