Hi.... (please forgive typos... doing this via phone)
Also...please forgive that I am a primary Max user... but I cannot use Max for this project.

I need to take some high poly models and run a slice plane through them at a given interval and angle... IE...pictore slicing an apple every centimeter from bottom to top.
I then need to export the resulting shapes to Adobe Illusrator for further work.

Is there a scipt or method to do this in a somewhat automated way?

maya vector render can output to illustrator, i would imagine that you can construct your apple slices and then use the vector render to output edge loops as vectors. I used it extensively for flash, its worth a try.
