Hi, im new at digital painting and I havent had the chance yet to go out and buy my very own Wacom tablet so what im using is just a basic mouse and photoshop 7.0. This image took hour. I hope you like it ;).

I think im finishing it up right here, and i guess no replys :(. This whole thing took me two days.

Keep going.. I think if you add as much detail to the environment as you have the egg it will look much cooler!

I'm digin' it. I'm not very good at digital painting, or normal painting for that matter. I like the detail, just need to bring the environment up to the same level. That could take some time :)

Do you have any concept sketches?

Intresting illustration. Everything seems very blury, so it makes it hard to tell whats going on and what we are looking at. If you hadn't titled that thread Alien egg, I would have had no idea what I was looking at. Thats just my 2 cents. If you were to go back and sharpen up all the lines and detail, i bet it would look pretty cool.

hehe im kinda a newb at digital painting and tried to take a big brush and just sharpen it all lol, so do i do it like to the pixel or something, need a little help with the sharpening part, does anyone have any tuts anywhere for sharpening?

I guess if it were me, I would just go to a smaller brush and start painting details. Its kinda hard to paint details with a large brush that is feathered.
