I love the feel of this image. what did you make it in, and could you post any close ups of the ships?

reminds me of the Aliens from the movies :bounce:
But its kind of wierd how the aliens body at the top is ending sudenly like that  Maybe add more plasma stuff to cover it
Great pic newer the less :buttrock:

it's a ship, read the title :)
excellent work axel, kinds of looks like the smaller ship is docking with the large structure ( if I've understood correctly ), C4D right?

sweet pic! how did you create the background? the composition is sweet and I like how you only show part of the mother ship or space station or whatever the large object at the bottom is. i think its a little wierd how the far docking arm suction cup thing is just barely behind the ship. it feels a little uncommitted. maybe if the ship were more in the grasp of the docking arms and was somehow set off from the larger ship. maybe make it brighter like was suggested above?
i will be very impressed if this was c4d! :buttrock:

Hi,
Thanx all of you for the comments and sorry for the
doppelposting , when submit the first reply , I
thought it has failed.
The image shows a docking situation
of an incoming ship.I tried to build a mystery
situation , thats why I kept the ships mostly in
the dark.I used a few lights only for
the specular of the ships. The nebula is done
with volumetric lights and some shaders in it.
The software I used is C4d.
Hope I answered most of your questions ...excuse
my english.
To Nazeil , here is a closer view fo the
docking ship ..

cool ship(s). only thing I'd suggest is bumping the spec and glossy way up. light in space is really harsh since there is no atmosphere for it to have to pass through.
The image seems.. empty! I think some more thought into the use of colour and perspective would enhance the image, though its not up to me to suggest how. Neat idea! It may be my lack of experience regarding alien technology but some aspects of the docking ship seem quite useless or bland, such as the central (exhaust) piping, and the other exhausts in general. But dont mind me, the design is just not to my liking.

Mr. Ritter nice to see something made by you again.
really like the scene. the docking ship isn't my taste but cool anyway.
I don't like organic looking ships.
For the docking station: How did you make these kind of plasma effects?
Nice work like to see more from you.

Hi prayas
For the docking station: How did you make these kind of plasma effects?
I used some different volumetric lights with shader
in it.Those lights where attached to splines.
Hope that answered your question.

Doesn't sound like a good idea to me at all:shrug: it's fine how it is, I like the mood. Here's another request for an explanation of the plasma effects

I really like the design of the ships. However there is one thing that bothers me. The disks on the wires that come out of the ship seem too even and repative for such and organic shaped body. IMO adding some variation between each wire or just changing the shape of the disks slightly would do a lot for the piece close up.
Once again good work!
