I wrote this little script that waits for maya's splash screen and hides it:

http://svn.code.sf.net/p/mymayaplugins/code-0/trunk/standalone-scripts/suppress_maya_splash.py

For example I use it in:

Maybe a better alternative such as intercepting the show window in a SetWindowsHookEx should be considered. Or better yet patch maya's exe (or inject a dll).

Concerning my last remark, maybe there's something already made similar to SplashKiller (which handle VS2010 but not maya). Maybe something in the department of ad blocker (although they are mainly for browsers), or ClickOff (for nag screens, but instead of clicking preventing it from loading.)

How about running Maya with the -nosplash option. You can add it to the shortcut or whatever.

"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2013\bin\maya.exe" -nosplash

Damn, I saw a post about this from 2002, I tried it and it didn't work, and this switch doesn't appear in maya.exe switches.
And now it's working... :bounce:

Thanks @3Dmonkey!
