Ok this one I did in about 1 hour today. I tried not to smooth the lines with my fingers and i did try to do it without erasing..much..

I think i messed up the lips there...

So here with total humility I give you my 2nd portrait. Plz give me some feedbacks and advices :bounce:

We are here too learn more, so...

I think that you should put more detail on important areas of the face, try to be sharp on the eyes and ears for exemple... It's the same thing for hair...be patient lol
Sharpen a little bit more your pen to put detail on your picture!

(ps: I'm french, so I try to be the more clear than I can in my sentences! :p )

I hope it will be a good piece of advise! :wavey:

burning light here!

Try to imagine the draw like two different draws, the lighted one and the shadowed one. This let you to draw down the main bulks of light and shadows, in that stage u need to watch carefully the tone relationship between the "two" draws. Edges are very importants at this time too, draw them wit accuracy, hard edges and smoooth ect... when u get the head of this stage is time to add details and remember that the most lumionus tone of the dark side is less luminous than darkest tone in the light side and the most dark tone in the light side is always less dark of the most luminous tone in th dark side. :applause:

I can't talk about likeness because I don't know how the model is.

best regards

try to use a more soft pencil, 2b or 3b (better to smooth too) for the darkest areas but it depends to your drawing stiles. For the more subtle light area tones hardest pencils are good (for me).

Hey,

just go on drawing and drawing. Try to get diferent kind of papers and use a set of valued pencils like: H, HB, 3B and 6B

Work hard and you'll make it!
