View Full Version : [Vray] HDRI lighting and shadows

Hi! This question is about Vray HDRI lighting and shadows. Look, I usually drop hdri image in environment (in skylight and reflection) to make my 3D object look more realistic. But, as you can see in the picture I've attached, the teapot's shadow looks unrealistic and doesn't match real object's one on the left. Could you suggest how to make teapot's shadow sharper?

You forgot to post your image...

However, you can't light with HDRI in the environment overrides, it doesn't work properly. You want to use a Vraylight set to "Dome". If you need to, you can adjust the gamma of the HDRI map you have in as VrayHDRI to get sharper shadows.
