View Full Version : It's possible to use two materials to create an EGG?
CerberusC 07-17-2012, 12:03 PM Hi guys.
That's the quesiton, i'm fighting with Lagoa in ICE, and i need to create an egg, so i need to create one fluid for the egg white, and i want to create another one, a lot more viscous for the yolk of the egg.
Is that possible? If so how can I do that? i'm trying to create two volume emmissions with two different simulators, but just one is being executed.
Cheers.

You should be able to use 2 different phases, one for each material. Not easy again, but this would be how I tackle it:

Thanks for the answer mattmos.
I managed to get to the same solution before I saw your answer, i think it's pretty easy, other problem could be to assign the correct material to the polygon mesh.
I read somewhere that it can be done using the vertex colors, can you (or someone else) give me a clue on how to do that?
Cheers and thanks.

This thread seems to have a few different ways to tackle it, with example icetrees.

Thanks mattmos, looking at it, meanwhile i posted another question in another thread regarding the possibility of deleting particles from a particle cache using the particle phase as filter.
