I have a deforming object with around a thousand follicles placed in specific uv locations along its surface. I'm now trying to place particles where these follicles are so I can instance geometry onto them. So far I'm able to place the particles where they need to be intitially using:

string $follicles[] = `ls -type transform "*_follicle"`;
select $follicles;
particle;
for ($follicle in $follicles){

float $coords[] = `xform -worldSpace -query -translation $follicle`;
emit -object particle1 -position $coords[0] $coords[1] $coords[2];

}

But then when the objects deforms, the particles don't move with it. Anyone know how to essentially constrain them to the follicles or to the specific uv locations on the surface of the object? I'm pretty new to particles, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
