View Full Version : Heres an Idea! Auto_Quads while you model

Well ok, but its kinda hard to explain, This script will be for the Organic modelers out there, or it can or might work for inorganic modleing, ie: cars, dildos, special toys etc.

OK Picture this "Auto Quads" The question is how will this work and how will it benift modlers out there.

OK by selecting edges, then you connect it and it will look like this:

OK now with a script or somethin in real time when the script is turned on, the results is this:

This script would get rid of tris, and connects it somehow to make it a quads, could this be possible?

I think this would be a benifit because of speed, meaning of instead of selecting edges and connecting them then weld it to make a quad, this lil bugger can do this for us :) what do u think?

This looks like a good idea with potential,

but I need to see it applied before I make up my mind about it.

BPT does this and it's currently being ported to Max.

Check out EdgeToQuads in MJ PolyTools (http://www.maya3d.dk/Scripts/MJPolyTools/).

Select the edge ring, use Connect, select all edges, use Edge To Quads, boom!
