This Yank bows to you humbly...and asks for details of what you have discovered in the update. As I ordered both 8.5 and S&T, I fear I won't hear anything until next week. Though as it is Turkey day here in States, I am full of food and beer.

Flingster, much thanks for the holiday wishes. I raise a beer(or many, for I have lost count...but can still type) to you sir.

Harveyc, much thanks to you as well. And yet another beer(yes this is a very "deep" holiday) raised to you as well. The details provided by you have made me salivate more than the massive feast I have been working on all day.

I fear that if my update and S&T don't come soon I will be 500lbs and completely wasted forever.

Cheers.

harveyc - wow! - you were keen! - I never thought of that and I don't live above 50 miles away from Maxon UK! :]

Ah well, it's good to hear that it's coming now! :)

boole - is better boole
Although the Better Boole often does a nicer job, I've encountered plenty of situations where the standard boole was still the best choice. I realize the Better Boole has been revised some since its initial plug-in release, but I seriously doubt that it's now the best choice for all situations. Perhaps Maxon should release a 'Worse Boole' plug-in to maintain the optional choice of the original functionality? Okay, maybe they might want to go with a slightly more palatable name. But it's sad to see useful functionality just plain removed.

I suppose we could all keep an 8.2 installation on our machines for that explicit purpose - but that seems like a bit of unnecessary overkill...

Hi,
the Bool in 8.5 contains both versions. You can choose which one you want to use as a property of the Bool object
Cheers

8.5 arrived today! - didn't have any email warning though!

Looks good from what I have seen so far, and I am amazed that the SSS function is as fast as it is! :bounce:
