I noticed in my bios that there was this line:

assign IRQ for VGA: Disabled

Does this do anything? Should it be turned on?

My suggestion would be: if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it.

Assign IRQ for VGA is for if you have a primary or secondary video card installed in a PCI slot instead of your AGP slot. You would enable that if you had the card in and it was conflicting with other PCI cards. You could assign it a single IRQ that would be reserved just for the PCI video. So unless you have a primary or secondary video card in one of your PCI slots AND it's causing IRQ interrupt errors then keep that setting disabled. Turning it on will steal an IRQ from the other devices in your system.

Oh and this is true also for people with a Tyan Thunder K7 which has an integrated video chip which runs on the PCI bus. Unless you are getting IRQ interrupt errors don't bother enableing this.
