Hi guys,

This is my first post here on this forum so iŽll start out by saying thanks to everyone here who have given me inspiration and unknowingly helped me by posting solutions to my problems here.

But to my big build. Im putting together a workstation for me that can help me go through school and hopefully work for a few years for me. This is what I put together so far and I am on my budget as it is. But I can always stretch it if I find it necessary.

Inel Core i7 3930k (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116492)
Gigabyte GTX 670 2gb (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125423)
Corsair Vengeance 4x8 ddr3-1600 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233263)
Asus P9X79 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131800)
Corsair HX 750W (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139010&Tpk=Corsair%20HX%20750w)
Fractal Design Define R3 Black Pearl (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352013&Tpk=Fractal%20Design%20Define%20R3%20Black%20Pearl)

I am missing a good storage drive in there but I have a 120gb ssd already as a boot disk.

Now my big question reading through the web has been

Radeon 7970 vs GTX 680 vs GTX 670 or if the dive to a pro card is something that I should be thinking about.

I am looking forward to hearing from you guys and hope you can help me refine this build or just tell me Im plain wrong on the whole thing :p

Kind regards
Gunnar Orn

Ps I am living in Norway but i guess my budget is around 2000-2500$

I was going to buy that RAM but bought the low profile ones just in case there was a space problem with my custom CPU fan. Those are kinda big

Optical drive?
Storage hard drive?
Windows license?
CPU cooler + thermal interface?

As cgbeige mentioned, that RAM is good but might be a bit tall depending on which cooler you choose. Everything else looks fine.
