I'm new to combustion (V3), and I'm torying around with it.
Is it possible to make the area I keyed in combustion appear transparent in 3dsmax (V5.1) without using a separate alpha map?

I've attached an image to display what I mean.

In this situation i'd like the purple box in 3d max to appear behind the green one. What do I have to do to make the black area transparent?

Thanks in advance!

If I am not mistaken here, apply the combustion map to the opacity channel as well as the diffuse channel in 3ds Max.....

That's how I would normally do it in max.. but you'd better off asking in the 3dsmax forum...

If I add the same combustion map as an opacity map it'll make
the entire image transparent, not only the black area...

Thanks for the help.
I'll post this in the max forum to.
