Stonepilot 06-13-2002, 05:53 AM I've seen some amazing work on here. By no means do I mean to compare my work to it. I've still got a life time to go. You're opinions on this will be greatly apprecaited greatly appreciated. Model in maya and painted Textures in photoshop.

It's definitly not a bad start, you have a good color style, and the color saturation works on your side for this piece. I think you're probably ready to put in some more dynamic objects now though, for instance, those cuboid shelfs might look better with a slanted top, or those pillars on the sides might be better some geometry, and not maps making up the base. If you feel up to it, model some fan blades to go into those "exhaust pipes" under the cubeshelf things. Keep it up!

also, it looks like you may have some sort of ambient lighting in the piece. turn that off to give yourself more control and then light the scene how YOU want it to be lit.
