I just heard something very disturbing, (from a MAX user, which I normally take with a grain of salt)... that the Maya Complete $1999 liscense is only good for one year then it expires?

Is this true?

I think people are getting the maintenance mixed up with the package

complete $1999

maintainance $1299 a year

Maintenance is optional...If you can afford it ...it's nice

By the way, is the student license completely unusable after one year, which is said to be the length of the license?

if you get maintenance you get free product updates when a new version comes out , you can also use the tech support.

maya student license is for one year , after one year you have to renew it by paying again.
