salam everyone
well this is an illustration i did for mcdonalds morocco, which you can see the little kid wants the big mac instead of his disgusting food, i wanted to make a sad expression of the baby's face like he is getting ready to start crying, so i started to collect the right references for my idea, i made some changes in my progress on the perspective and the background till i found the right one, and before i started to paint i did some study on lights and shades so i can get the results i want
i hope you guys like it :))

Aesthetically, this doesn't really work for me. I think you're being too literal with the details instead of using artistic interpretation and idealization, which is kind of important when depicting subjects that you want to flatter. The baby looks much older than he should be, because you carved in all the hardness without using any aesthetic filtering or idealization that would've soften up the baby.

Take a look at how a really good painter would handle such a subject:

See how the features and details are not etched into the face with hard-edged sterility, but treated softly with more sensitive brushwork? That is how I would've proposed to the client as the ideal look for project.
