I am working on a little scene for me (The first one of the candle is on hold).

I'll need a glass of wine on it, so I started yesterday with the glass. Looks quite right already :)

But, I need to make the wine now, and the free version of Brazil doesn't have s3 (Sub-Surface Scattering). Does anyone knows how to fake it?

Well.... i have made a glass of vodka/water/whatever you want to call it. If this is the look you are trying to achieve...

I made it by just taking the actual glass,(without the base and trunk), duplicating it, shrinking it a LITTLE and placing it INSIDE the original glass... with a different material. Basically, diffuse it with a red color and add a falloff map into the reflective property (I'm assuming you are using 3dsmax)
I hope this helps  cheers. lookin good.
