Hi, I'm looking at possibly buying either a SpaceNavigator (http://www.3dconnexion.com/products/spacenavigator.html) or a SpaceMouse Pro (http://www.3dconnexion.com/products/spacemousepro.html)/Space Explorer (http://www.3dconnexion.com/products/spaceexplorer.html). I've looked over the Software Compatibility (http://www.3dconnexion.com/supported-software/software0.html) information on 3dConnexion's website. Apparently there is way more software supported on the Windows platform than on the Mac (I prefer macs and *NIX although I'm aware that much more graphics software is available and developed for Windows). I've heard that often the navigation function of the Space Navigator is the only thing that works on the more feature heavy products like the SpaceMouse Pro/Space Explorer, as in most of the buttons do not work.
I noticed most of the stated software supported is usually not the current version. I was wondering if any actual 3d Connexion users can comment on this. I've started using Blender, but can see myself using other popular 3d modeling packages such as zbrush, mudbox, modo, cinema 4d, maya, 3ds max and so on. I don't want to spend money on a peripheral that only works with old software. I'm getting by using a Wacom tablet with Blender for now which is a little bit tedious but better than nothing.
Regards,
~Adam
