View Full Version : Maya hinge constraints
Kabab 11-25-2003, 01:53 AM Ok what the hell is the go with the hinge constraints when i try to move them around to align them they rotate on strange axis.
Anyone know why this is ??

they rotate on the axis of the object that are parented to. :hmm:

Ok but its dam near impossible to controll anyway to get reasonable controll over them ??

I dont recall very well... but maybe there is a dampening attribute. Actually, i take that back, what you should do is press F1, and look at the maya help... if you go to the reference section on dynamics, it'll give you a play by play of what each attribute does. That might give you an idea of what settings you need to change to get decent results. :D

Gremlin is on a roll with the F1 replies. Though he is correct in doing so most of the time.
