View Full Version : Tricky UV mapping Question for 6.5b

Okay, I'll try to make this question as brief and clear as possible. I need to use Lightwave to create an Atlas UV map that doesn't put information in the top left corner. Imagine that the UV Map is a 1024x1024 image; I need a 256x256 chunk at the top left to be blank. (This is for exporting to a game engine). If I could just stretch the whole UV map down, or move individual pieces of the atlas map around, that would be great. However, because the points are shared, I can't move all the pieces without stretching certain parts out.

If any of you can help, please do. If there is a plugin or even a standalone app that will give me more control over the UVs, that might be good too. Also, if I need to clarify this more, I'll do what I can.

Thanks in advance.

What about unwelding the points and move it all around?

No problems, glad I could help. I know all about getting stuck UV'ing.
