His right flipper is too big. In the movie his right flipper is dis-figured.
And his top fin is way too symmetrical, not enough variety. Make some of the tips higher at the front then the rest...etc.

Agree the top fin is alittle too symmetrical
But maybe with that normal Fin it's Marlin, Nemo's Dad
check out my Bruce you can download the model and scene from my site then you can animate them both
you could redo a scene or 2 from the movie
that wuld be cool :thumbsup:
just need someone to do the funnest character of them all Dore:D

You are right about the right flipper.
I modeled only half and mirror. The tiny 2 fins
on the bottom are also missing.
I had only 2 pictures from magazins as reference.
your bruce looks good too. Maybe some little work on the nose.
If I have time I will model Dore also.

i've seen afew over the years and never heard of any legal issues
As long as you Don't uses the model for a paying project and don't make any money from they design and licence i'm hoping you don't get in any trouble :shrug:
education is a wondeful thing and even if you done a showreel using these Pixar models to get a job
i find it hard to see them getting they lawers
I've seen buzzlightyear on the hash animation CD
so it must be allowed as education uses somehow:shrug:

I downloaded your model and was surprised
about the amount of polygons you have used.
I understand that for the teeth there is no other way
but for the main body you could get the same shape
with less than half of that.;)
Your model looks good anyway
I tried alway to not use more polygons than realy necessary.
It saves time and makes alot of things easíer... weight maps,
speed during animation and so on.

Your model is setout very nicely
I was never going to animate my shark so wasn't worried about the polycount so subdivided when ever i need afew more points to work with :D
plus was always going to give it away free if your going to use it in a pay project you should model your own LOL :)
QemLOSS 3 is my best friend if i have to uses it :D

I modeled it a year ago and I am still waiting for being motivated to make a short with it.
telamon....texture that bad boy...make a squid and have fun....nice work:)....nice work to you arcus on your nemo model...and nice work to you as well T4D for your Bruce....this thread is crazy...hehe:)

The right fin is still too big.
If you look at nemo's right fin in the movie, it's a about 3/4's the size of the "normal" fin.
It's a little deformed too.

Break up the skin reflections a bit. Right now it almost looks like a ceramic fish.

one word..... sweet. You hit that one almost dead on. The only thing missing id the 'gummy' effect they talk about on the dvd. Faking the sss, other than that it's just the lucky fin that needs work... awesome work.
