Hi... i don't know if this is the right forum, so move it if it's wrong.

I wonder how i can create a similiar underwater effect like seen in "Finding Nemo"...

I mean, the lights... as seen in the background here, and just a underwater feeling. How should i set up the scene? What lightning teqnicues should i use?

I've tried in many hours now, but the closest i got was a underwater-in-my-bathtube feeling...

I'm planning to make a coral-reef... i was so inspired by Finding Nemo! :)

Hope someone can help...

a good place to start would be a blue-green fog, to give it overall cloudiness and depth and then perhaps a large directional light, projecting a noise map of some sort, and have some volumetrics on this as well. the directional light should give you the streaks of light as in the image you posted.

Dont forget floating debris and murkyness in the distance. I believe there was actually an article written about the basic process the Nemo team went through from concept to completion. Search around in the general discussions and you may have some luck.

Okey, i've made some sort of underwater effects, but i don't manage to get those light beams... (Or what it's called).
Any suggestions?

You need to add some light fog coming from the source light. Go to the appropriate frum here of the program you're using and ask how to use it.
