Hello

I have a fifty frame camera animation along a motion path...I now need to retime the animation to 250 frames but have so far had no luck.

Does anyone know how to do this without redoing the Animate > Motion Paths > Attach to Motion Path

I keep getting really unpredictable results when trying to attach a camera with an aim, to a nurbs circle. Every time the results are different....what am i doing wrong?

Any help is, as always, really appreciated.

select your path animated object go to the Graph Editor. you will find a curve that is representing the following.

the X-Axis is the time or better frame. the Y Axis is the Value of the Curve, starting at 0 and ending at 1. so you read that at frame....the value of the curve is 0. means the object is at the curve start, at frame...the value of the curve is 1 and the object is at the end of the curve, so just grab one of the two points and change the frame number. you will find two inout fields in the Graph Editor. the first one is the framenumber and the second one the curve vlaue.

for the second question :

aim has two main settings. the aim and the up direction. the aim direction means, which local axis of the aim object (your camera) should point to the constraint(the curve). the up-direction is the local axis of the aim object (your camera) which should point up in relation to the overall scene Up Direction (usually Y, but some might set it to Z because of motion tracking issues).

so with a normal camera you should try -Z for Aim and Y for UP

The stangest thing was that I WAS selecting the camera, opening the Graph Editor (by pure chance not skill) but there was nothing there!!!

On reading your tip I selected the camera from the Outliner and there they were...job done thanks very much!

Much appreciated.
