Here's a pretty cool looking RPG coming out for the GameCube that I thought I'd share. I haven't seen a whole bunch on it, but what I have, I've been impressed. I've included a JPN trailor for it and some screen shots.

Baten Kaitos JPN Trailor (http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ngc/software/gkbj/baten_kaitos_cf30d.mpg) Trail is about 9mb.

Baten Kaitos JPN Commercial (http://cubemovies.ign.com/cube/video/batenkaitos_112103_cm1.mpeg) about 4mb

Tell me what you guys think.

It reminds me of Legend of Dragoon. It looks nice, but give me Valkyrie Profile 2 please. Come on square-enix, stop making your fans wait. :banghead:

great game I have been tracking it as I need something fresh instead of the dull FF crap. I have high hopes for this game.

It's the Chrono Trigger team that is mostly behind this game as far as I remember (and it shows, the floating island is like Zeal in CT, and the color palette of Chrono Cross). Looks good, but I have no GameCube. I'm interested in the artwork, any link?

It's nice to see other's have been keeping an eye on this one. I think it looks very promising. And if you guys are right about some of the guys behind Chrono Cross...that should be very positive.

I mean this game and Tales of phantasia are just a couple of the good ones targeted for this platform. When you look at the number of great games for this platform I can't see myself not owning one. My whole family even wife and son plays although we severly limit his play time because of his age(he's almost 2).
