04-08-2012, 03:34 PM
Hi there guys, it's been a long time since I don't post anything, the last animation I posted was around 5 years ago and all the critiques were regarding technique, skills and so on... So I decided to set myself on a challenge and get to study animation in a proper school.
So finally I made it into Gobelins and I would like to share my progress reel, please feel free to Comment and critique, it's a progress reel so I'm accepting all kinds of comments so I can polish it.
Here's the link.

Looks good but i would take out the stairs scene its very weak compared to the other scenes or put more work into it. He looks like he just falls dead instead of tripping. unless he is supposed to fall dead then i would give more explanation as to how he is being killed.

Cool stuff. Dug the lion walks and runs. I agree about the stair fall, could feel fast and more impactful on the fall and more of reason for the fall.

Thanks a lot guys for the feedback, that slipped my mind completely, the guy on the stairs get's shot on the back but I was missing some corrections on the fall and the bullet impact, I'll fix that rightaway.
Thanks again :)

The guy at the starts hands are very clenched. Would be good to add some character. Like maybe it's the last 100 metres of an epic race.
Something strange about the lion when it sorts to run. Legs, sort of look like they are missing key frames. Feels unnatural.
I actually think the guy walking down the stairs has some value to it, but the fall at the end lets it down.
The girl on the phones eyes seem a bit dead and her movements a little robotic. Would be nice to get some real thought in there. Also a bit long.
Otherwise though some good stuff in there.

Hey!!! thanks a lot guys for the feedback, I corrected most of the suggestions you gave me I'm just lacking the eyes expression changes on the guy running and the eyes on the telephone girl.
I added some new material as well...
