Well lets press on this subject.
Converting a *.MAX file to a file MAYA can read. Is it possible I can convert the *.MAX w/ textures over to Maya. I've did the DXF and man that was a mistake. It was very colorfull, not textured. But here's the thing I used PolyTrans, and converted the *.MAX to *.obj, the textures did not follow, and when it was imported into Maya it was SO dang huge, it was distorted from view. I tried to re-scale it..no avail..I tried camera pan, rotation, etc. Nothing the object would fade off into some fog. I would rotate the model and see only part of it. But it was HUGE...How can I import my *.MAX models into MAYA and have them show up in the center of the work plane?
