View Full Version : How to Create fire around shape

hey guys, i got some exrecies to do from our VFX studio, so i can be able to go there for internship, but first i need to do some simply animation

I have stuck when i need to create fire around the shape, when i create effects>create fire, it's created in the middle of the shape, not around him like this.

I tried it and it works fine.
Go to the Effects - Create Fire - Option box and go to Edit and click on Reset Settings. Click create and play the sim.
Hopefully it should work.

Also go to Prefrences under the Windows- Settings/Preferences and in the Time Slider category make sure Payback speed is set to Play every frame. Although even without that setting the simulation should play.

If you have selected the object and then created the effect, it is probably coming from the center because the emitter may be set to "omni" or...be sure it is set to "surface".
