Hi All,
I realise I'm arriving to challenge rather late with only 3 weeks to go for the completed model, but I figured I'd give it a try.
Decided on creating a Nikola Tesla character for the challenge. He had the nickname 'Master of Lighting' and any guy who supposedly built a Death Ray is worthy of the title Armed and Dangerous.

My concept is based off the photo of him sitting looking intensely at the camera with the glowing bulb in his hand. Once the character/chair is complete I plan to model some bright electrical pulses/sparks running along Tesla and the chair he will be sitting in.

I have started with the Mudbox base mesh, but have been experience some problems with the brushes though. Does anyone know why my brushes have stop working when they are small (1.0 or lower)? I can’t sculpt small details into the mesh. I’ve bumped the standard Mudbox body mesh up to level 6, the brush size is way down small for sharp lines, but it won’t sculpt anything. The smallest I can get the brush to work at is thicker than some of the contours already on the face. I've tried lowering the clipping plain, but it hasn't had any effect. Any ideas?

In-between frustrations of Mudbox brushes not behaving the way I expect I have started modelling in 3Ds Max the base mesh for the chair Tesla will be sitting in.

Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
