// sorry about this is was a duplicate post

Hey there, im in my final year of university and for my dissertation i have decided to look at combining motion capture and key frame animation, i have decided to do this on a centaur model, i have 3 animations, firing a bow, walking and dying, the upper half of the centaur was captured using a vicon motion capture suite and the lower half was hand animated by myself, at the moment im looking for feedback on how i could improve these animations and it would be really useful if you guys could help me.

the animations are here:

By adding an anticipation before he draws his bow would strengthen your animation. Right now it's too simple and you need to make it complex. thus more interesting: Try adding this, before he pulls back the arrow, he leans forward and low with the bow in his hand and positions the arrow onto his sights. Then he draws it all up and aims.... And you could shuffle his hooves and shift his body while preparing to shoot.

Thanks for the feedback, id love to try and add some more feel to the bow animation however the issue becomes that the torso should be kept as much of the mo cap data as possible therefore if i hand animate too much then the entire exercise becomes a little bit pointless as it would just be basically all hand animated. but ill take your feedback on board, i totally agree with your comment of making him move more during the bow animation at the moment ive updated the aniamtions slightly based on feedback the lower half now in the bow animation kinda braces himself for the show with his foot ill look at adding more movement to his lower body, thanks again for looking at them tho these feedback is brilliant :)

You might want to try involving the whole body.
