hey guys.

schoolwork's been keeping me rather busy.

this one's an upgraded version of my first robot, <<trassini>> (http://a.domaindlx.com/fproto/trassini%20gray.jpg).

his new name is 0001 (triple-O-1).

this piece, once again, was greatly inspired by the great master

<<feng zhu>> (http://www.artbyfeng.com), the uncompared.

i put a bit of my own "rough" style into it.

i did the black and white sketch with a pen and markers.

the scan was colored in photoshop.

(my first experience with lighting)

i learned not to take others' advice without self judgement,

which can lead to a plastic-looking sword :p.

anyways, c&c is highly welcome.

hope you like it.

here is the original marker:

i just did a quick "bright" version.

the lighting's more natural in this one,

but the chest needs some work.

sorry guys.

i just tried viewing my work from another computer,

and the colors look TERRIBLE.

my flatscreen monitor is very hard to work with.

everytime i work i have to constantly shift my position and

look at it from an angle to see the actually colors.

this works to some certain extent, but it also spoils the

contrast, so i can never get true color when working

with pictures. :(

is there anyway i can fix this? or are normal monitors

just better?

far from terrible...

looking good. i think the lights could use a bit of direction...less of an haze or omni feel to it. since some of the lights are in little tunnels, the tunnels are giving direction to the lights...

the lights closer to the head look good...

the electricity on the top looks good i think...

I hope i am steering ya in the right direction

It looks really great
I can see that you've been inspired by feng ;)

I really like the version with the red light better...

thanks guys.

i can see my coloring and lighting is too "intense"

and superfluous.

i need to make my work cleaner and neater.

thanks tho :D

i need a new pen.
